  • Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and nonabrasive denture cleanser to clean your tongue, cheeks and roof of your mouth (palate) and to remove food, plaque and other deposits.
  • If you’re using denture adhesive, make sure to clean the grooves that fit against your gums to remove any remaining adhesive.
  • Never use denture cleansers inside your mouth.
  • Don’t use any harsh chemicals to clean your dentures.
  • Avoid sleeping in with your dentures.
